Takujo Fine Dining at Emporium Shokuhin

I have been to Emporium Shokuhin at Marina Square a few times, super like the variety of dinning styles to cater to our moods and needs. I especially enjoy the high quality fresh seafood. The crew are attentive, friendly and helpful! They have exclusive corners for dating couples who are dining. It is also a great place for family with kids, you get to enjoy our meal or groceries shopping while the kids watch TV or play with the toys at the indoor play area.

Another factor that impresses me about this place is it is owned by a Singaporean who supports local first, 90% of his work force are made up of Singaporeans. It goes to show that Singapore has talents! And these gems will only grow brighter the longer they stay with you.

Today I had a lunch appointment at Takujo Fine Dining. I ordered the A5 Miyazaki wagyu steak set instead Sashimi. Turn out to be one of the best steak I ever had! Juicy, tender and well-seared, topped with pepper sauce. My taste bud on cloud 10! I will be back! Real soon!!!

The ambience is quiet and delightful. Suitable for business meetings and dating.

Cleanliness: 10 out of 10

Remarks: For those who are driving, park at the red zone, as it is fastest way to get to Emporium Shokuhin.

Is respect to be earned?

Many times, I've heard people exclaimed this phrase "respect is to be earned". Others might buy it as a valid reason. But I see it as an excuse for arrogance and defiant behavior.

Respect is base of every healthy relationship. A person who has good self-esteem and upbringing will regard others with respect. Why should others make extra effort to earn their basic respect? Jeez, who do they think they are? Would their commanders have to gain their respect first before instructing them to dig the trenches?

If a person is so calculative as not to give a fellow human the respect they deserve, or disregard the social graces of society, then I gathered this selfish arrogant person is not going to respect me unless it benefits them. Such a person is not going to be a sincere friend anyway. I will be happier without them.

We hear people feeling indignant all the time. Parents getting furious with their kids and vice versa... Colleagues feeling disgruntled among each other... Nations putting embargo... all because of the lack of respect. I realized, respect is a huge word with chain consequences.

Having seen and heard from friends on how they felt when their boundaries are being pushed. Having to apologize to folks who I had unknowingly upset their feelings. I've learnt and gathered 5 areas to give respect to:

To get respect, show respect first.

With these keys in mind, let it guide our relationships peacefully.

Lala Hokkien Mee

Hearty comfort food with a touching testimony. This creative twist of Hokkien Mee gave the chef— who was an ex-convict, a new lease of life!

Opening Hours: 11:30am to 9.30pm, closed on Tuesdays.

Normal Hokkien noodles without Opeh leaf is $3 or $ 5.

Recommends:

1. Hokkien Mee with Lala in Opeh leaf is $8 onwards.

2. Hokkien Mee in Claypot with deep fried Roasted Pork is $10 or more. A pot of $10 is just nice for 2 person to share — Love the chunks of roast pork and chewy clams.

Remarks:

My hubby and I waited 45mins for the Claypot Lala Hokkien Mee on a Sunday night. Best to visit this place on a weekday.

The ice-lemon tea in this coffee shop is one of the best I had.Must try!
Multi-storey car park is conveniently located next to this popular coffee shop.
